General overview

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam is jointly developed by the British Council and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in England. This exam is becoming increasingly popular as it is used by various organizations in the same way during employment.

The IELTS exam is a type of test designed to improve the performance standards of various language presentations. It is divided into four areas of examination - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The exam is available in two versions.

In each area of examination, an assessment is conducted. For listening and reading, a test is conducted on question and answer comprehension. For writing and speaking, a test is conducted on the basis of language fluency and grammar. The results of each area of examination are graded on a band scale of 0 to 9, with 9 being the highest achievable score.
